Although the primary genre is free improviation/avant-garde, the styles/genres covered are very wide. This is primarily due to the idea behind the One Music Ensemble: that it should not exclude or discriminate against any particualar individual, instrumental or compositional/improvisational concept, but be free and open to them all. This is in contrast to the Derek Bailey notion of 'non-idiomatic improvisation'. Indeed, it could have been called the 'Non-Discriminating Orchestra', the acronym of which in fact became the name of the former NONDO record label.
The intention, given sufficient interest, is to make available former NONDO titles together with those PM releases only issued on cassette, as well as new work and previously unreleased archival material. These will be presented in the form as originally released (albums but mot EPs), as per the original recording session (where it exists), or as a compilation of individual tracks eg as requested by individual customers. To accomodate these alternative these will be in CD(R)format. In addition they will be available to listen to/download at iTunes, AmazonMP3, Spotify, MySpaceMusic, MediaNet, eMusic, Zune, Rhapsody, Nokia, Napster, HeartRadio, VerveLife, and some tracks can be heard at pantonmusic.com.
Currently available are:
